CameraBag 2 is a Mac app for photo editing, with a suite of photographic tools combined with a number of the photo filters which can be layered. CameraBag uses 32-bits-per-component processing and non-destructive editing, designed to ensure your photos always retain their smooth colour gradations and quality. You can select a second filter, a third filter and so on, to add a filter you need to press the cross next to the filter name, clicking the filter name itself will replace the current filter. Under the image they'll be a series of boxes, representing the further editing options available. Click on one and you can make the necessary adjustments, and each box also has a cross so you can remove it completely. The adjustments tab includes many image editing options, hosted in a lengthly list (shown in Screenshot 1 above). The fifth tab is Quicklooks and this allows you to view decent sized thumbnails of all the My Styles, Cameras, Adjustments and Borders, making it easy to view the effect each filter will have on your image. The bottom toolbar has a button to switch your select filters on / off, so you can see the difference between your edited picture and the original. There is also an X which removes all the editing that has been performed. The toolbars on the top and bottom can be closed so you can view a larger version of your image. You can save your picture using the menu bar, under file. Here you can load and save filters, as well as download filters created by other CameraBag users. When saving your image you can resize, change the quality and select between jpg, png and tiff. CameraBag 2 Verdict The CameraBag 2 Mac app comes packed with a large number of filters which can be combined easily to create unique pictures. You can save your own presets, which can even be used on the iOS app as well. The app isn't just about filters though, there are plenty of image editing tools, such as sharpening, exposure, contrast, saturation and much more. You get all this for just £5.99 - an absolute bargain, particularly if you are looking for your first image editing app.
